Location: Wadeville, Germiston

Terms: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: R60 000 – R80 000 CTC per month. (Pension 8% contribution by Company (7.5 % Deduction by Employee)

About the Role

As a Remanufacturing Tyre Retreading Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our tire retreading operations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the production process’s efficiency, quality, and safety while focusing on environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in manufacturing management, and a passion for delivering top-notch products.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

1. 1. Manage day-to-day operations of the tyre retreading facility, ensuring optimal production output.
   2. Implement and enforce standardized operating procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
   3. Oversee the entire production process, from receiving used tires to delivering retreaded products.

Quality Assurance

1. 1. Implement quality control measures to guarantee the production of premium, reliable retreaded tires.
   2. Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.

Team Management

1. 1. Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of production staff.
   2. Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Safety and Compliance

1. 1. Enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
   2. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and environmental standards.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management

1. 1. Oversee inventory levels and manage the supply chain to meet production demands efficiently.
   2. Collaborate with procurement to source quality materials for the retreading process.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment, preferably in the tyre industry.
• A strong understanding of tyre-retreading processes and technologies would be an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality.
