Sales and Marketing Manager


Location: Braamfontein

Terms: Permanent Contract (offered after 3 month’s probation period)

Salary: R 40 000 – R 45 000 CTC per month. (+ commission on new business)

About the Role

As the Sales and Marketing Manager for the Company Group, you will ensure operational excellence in all aspects of managing this portfolio.

Responsibilities

These are the overall general responsibilities summarised under the various key areas, however these are non-negotiable responsibilities.

  • Goals: Ensuring continued growth in terms of sales and targets within the various departments of the company. Integration of the Sales Team with all the various departments as per below:
      • The STEM incubator projects within the company. This is to be done via Donors and Funding Clients. To seek opportunities to partner with prospective Funders/ Donors/ Sponsors that operate in any viable area of Business.  Role is to follow and pursue leads and to close the partnership agreement alongside the CEO.
      • The TVET department requires leads and clients from the Business sector to enlist with TVET Offerings. These include both individuals from the companies Rewrite Center Database, companies and individuals (B2B and B2C). Closing of major Business to Business leads and partnership will be conducted with the CEO.
      • The company’s Rewrite Center-The department caters for Matric rewrites learners in conjunction with the DoE. This is to be done via the generation of leads through Marketing opportunities such as presentations, School visits for pamphlet drop offs, Mall And Stalls activations, Open days, cold calling and advertising through cost effective Social media opportunities. These leads to be referred to the Academic Manager of the Rewrite Center
  • Sales: Revenue and Sales Targets are set on a year-to-year basis, to be achieved via hard sales.
      • Customer Acquisition and Retention- relationship building and retention of Clients, sponsors, donors in all departments.
      • Lead Generation and Conversion rate to be improved on a year-on-year comparative basis.
      • Sales pipeline- Yearly and Monthly targets set as part of the sales pipeline to be monitored and evaluated for relevancy and efficacy.
      • Tele Sales Team Performance- Sales team to be monitored, mentored, coached to bring forth optimal and desired results. Targets to be set in conjunction with each team member and to be monitored via daily calls and other sales tools.
  • Marketing- Marketing Campaign effectiveness measured via volumes of Raw leads, Online enquiries and Website visits, Facebook visits and Instagram page Visits. Maintenance of Website information and updates in conjunction with external Service Provider.
      • Competitive Analysis – SWOT analysis of competitors in the Matric Rewrite and TVET Space in South Africa
      • Social Media Metrics- Effective use of social media via Videos, Alumni stories, Departmental Functions and Achievements.
      • Brand Awareness – Positioning the company in an innovative way, ensuring that the brand is seen positively. Awareness creation through innovative ways
      • Marketing ROI- Ensuring that ethe company receives its return on market share in the various departments.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, or Business Administration. Public Relations and Media knowledge applicable.
  • Financial literacy
  • Proven experience in Sales and Marketing
  • An understanding of educational principles, trends, and best practices
  • Excellent strategic planning, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to prospective leads and partnerships.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams, C Suite executives, Learners, External Suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of motivating teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fundraising and Proposal writing skills
