About the Role
The Production Manager plays a crucial role in a company’s manufacturing process. They oversee the entire production line, from the initial stages of raw material acquisition to the final stages of product delivery. Their focus is to ensure that all processes run smoothly while maintaining quality standards and meeting production targets. The Production Manager is responsible for managing the workforce, allocating resources, and ensuring all equipment functions correctly. They also analyse production data to identify improvement areas and optimise the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support SHEQ initiatives and objectives.
- Define, propose, and implement the annual production.
- Cost management.
- Control product costs and identify/rectify waste measures.
- Manage activities within the production process, including maintenance and workforce.
- Handle logistics, warehousing and stock of raw materials used in production.
- Manage all teams within your production department.
- Focus on growing business and revenue by implementing necessary changes to product/production lines to enter new markets to grow existing territories.
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
- Good people and staff management skills.
- Identifying problems and implementing preventative strategies to minimise risk.
- Good with problem-solving.
- Target driven personality.
Candidate Requirements
- 3-5 Years’ experience as a Production Manager
- Fast-moving consumer goods background.
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
