Location: Braamfontein, Johannesburg
Terms: Full-Time
Salary: R 24 000 – R 25 000 CTC per month + Attractive Commission Structure

About the Role
We’re looking for passionate, results-driven Business Development Managers to join our team and help us scale our impact through strategic corporate partnerships and CSI funding.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage corporates with aligned CSI mandates.
- Secure CSI and ESG-aligned funding to support Star Schools’ educational programmes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate donors, foundations, and business leaders.
- Collaborate with the marketing and education teams to create compelling funding proposals and presentations.
- Attend relevant networking events and conferences to grow the Star Schools footprint.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly fundraising targets.
Candidate Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in business development, fundraising, or sales
- Strong corporate network or ability to build one.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field (advantageous)
Key Competencies
- A confident communicator with persuasive presentation skills
- Experienced in business development, fundraising, or sales (preferably in CSI, NPOs, or related sectors)
- Target-driven with a proven track record of securing funding or deals
- Familiar with BBBEE, ESG, and CSI frameworks
- Able to work independently and travel when needed.
